Computer Classes

The Learning Connection offers FREE evening computer classes and daytime computer lab sessions in Juneau. Classes are small and paced to meet student needs. Personalized teaching is also available during daytime open computer lab hours.

What:

  • Evening Computer Courses: Two courses are offered each month and meet twice per week all month
    • Topics covered in the evening include courses in: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access as well as Introductory Computer Skills and Living in a Digital World courses.
  • Daytime Open Lab and ALEXsys trainings: Open labs offered each Monday and Tuesday morning, ALEXsys Workshops are co-facilitated with the Juneau Job Center staff two Thursdays per month
    • Open lab trainings and ALEXsys trainings are designed to allow clients to get small group or individualized assistance on writing resumes, performing job searches, help completing online applications and access to web-based typing and computer trainings.

  • Register for class series on the first night of classes.
  • Daytime class/labs are open entry.
